They say that life is a cycle. That it is self-sustaining. 

Without a beginning. Without an end. But what are they saying? 

Every farmer knows the truth: what is bygone, will nevermore return. Not the men, not the women, nor the children either.  Whosoever lost Terra’s favour, was lost forever.

But we do not wish to perish. We wish to use our existence. Use it forever.

 For this gift is received but once, and it is too precious to waste on Terra’s vanity! … And from this day onwards, my cherished friends, we have the power to do so.
