Creation of the world (from the viewpoint of the Ouai)
A summary created by Adeptus Don Alonso da Vanya, Redditor Proximus of the brotherhood of Order, Member of the Council of Elemental Forces of Camegon and the Magicians’ Guild of the Free Cities of Mythodea at the 2. Erztag in the 9. Naiba after the rediscovery of Mythodea
This Text is based on scripts from the libraries of the Ouai, the magicians’ guild of the free cities of Mythodea, and conversations with librarians of the Ouai and Edalphi of the Temple of the Golden Wagon.
In the beginning there was nothingness. Out of nothingness came the order and chaos. The interplay of these forces led to the formation of the four elements. Fire, Water, Air and Earth. Their powers were partly in opposition to each other and so they could create nothing of permanence until, through an unspecified event, the element of magic joined. * This could connect the other elements with each other and thus made creation possible. The emphasis here is that the elements themselves are primeval forces and protomatter and thus have neither will nor personality. After a while, however, beings emerged that are referred to as elemental beings, Quihen Assil or children of the world. These had a will and were of divine power.
Furthermore, the elemental beings were each assigned to elements, which means that they are commonly identified with the elements in common usage. Together, they created the world and everything that goes with it. The elementals are also those who still create the avatars today. They themselves retired from Mithraspera long ago, as their power obstructed mortal life in the making.
Before their withdrawal, however, they had created mortal peoples, which are still summarized today as " Ancient Rulers". The " Ancient Rulers" created in their time many Elemental Nations:
-
The Lona as the Legion of Fire
-
The Akata as Priests of Fire and
-
Sokata, united from both nations.
-
Naldar, as warriors of the Air who once took the skies on griffins
-
The Linest, a nation of Water who traveled the seas,
-
Agata, a nation of Water of whom one knows so little
-
Boro Madar, the insectoid earth creatures that live in deep caves, and the
-
Edalphi and Eliondar, who were sometime around that time initially created as separate nations.
Later, however, the disembodied Eliondar entered a symbiosis with the long-lived Edalphi. The Eliondar thus gained a body and the Edalphi greater power, which benefited both Elemental Nations. They created the Ouai, who were a combination of the best diplomats and scholars of other Elemental Nations, from which the Kel'Goron later extracted.
As the culture of the "Ancient Rulers" grew older, they gained ever greater power. Eventually they became so great, that they could achieve almost anything they wanted.
At one point in their history, they even began to doubt that their possibilities must be bound to the limits of creating elemental beings. This doubt marked the beginning of the existence of the Ratio. The battle of some "Ancient Rulers" against the Ratio began a short time later, even before the creation of the other Forsaken Elements. The strongest representatives of these fighters were the Tivar Khar’Assil.
The first of the Forsaken Element was created by a group of "Ancient Rulers" around Sephistikus made up of representatives of the Ignis Elemental Nation of Lona Akata, using a force that was beyond the reach of elemental beings. The reason for this creation was also the pursuit of perfection. Furthermore, the black ice should also be used in the fight against the ratio. This creation was followed by the creation of the undead flesh, as a remedy against mortality and the creation of the Void as Ultimate Weapon. Most recently, the Oily Pestilence was created. However, this creation had been an accident resulting from the application of the remedy Na'Aquon, which was derived from Aqua Essence, to a being that had been infected with all known diseases. For a long time, the pestilence was the only one without its own sphere and had to share one with Aqua. Only now (in the 9th Naiba) they were separated.
As the conflict with the Ratio escalated, the Edalphi people were one of the first Elemental Nations to position themselves on the side of the Ratio. The Ratio offered Edalphi power in exchange for the Edalphi separating from the Eliondar. The Edalphi, who were the weaker partner in the symbiosis with the Eliondar, had already begun to doubt that this symbiosis was necessary, which made them more susceptible to the Ratio. The Ratio tried to fill up the emptiness in the Edalphi, resulting from the ending of the symbiosis, with their own essence to bind the Edalphi even more.
Finally, the Ratio gained such a huge power advantage that representatives of the other nine Sacred and Forsaken Elements joined together to fight the Ratio together. This union is known as the Pact of Nine. The members of the Pact of Nine created new beings to build seals to banish the Ratio and help fight the Ratio.
The first of these were the Kan, who were to be guardians. It was followed by the RiKan, who were meant to be scholars. This was followed by an army of 100 Xerikan who were strong enough to close or open one seal. Although the latter were also living beings, they had no soul and were taken over by the Ratio, which in turn led them as a weapon against the Pact of Nine.
There was one exception to this. Marien de Vo Canar had sacrificed her child right after its birth to tie its soul to a Xerikan. This child and its soul are known today as the "Golden Child". Since a newly born child has an innocent soul and is not yet able to doubt, this Xerikan with a soul could not be taken over by the Ratio.
There was one exception to this statement. Marien de Vo Canar had sacrificed her child right after birth to tie a soul to a Xerikan. This child and his soul are known today as the "Golden Child". Since a newly born child has an innocent soul and is not yet able to doubt, this soulful Xerikan could not be taken over by the Ratio.
Consequently, the Ratio cursed the entire Elemental Nation, which is why the long-lived Edalphi in today's time only have a life expectancy of exactly 10 years.
Somewhat later, the last Xerikan not controlled by the Ratio was able to erect a seal to seal the Ratio, created to preserve the peace. On these site, peace was maintained for a long time, until an "Ancient ruler" of the Void did not accept them, which led to "Ancient Rulers" of the elements and "Ancient Rulers" of the Forsaken Elements preparing for, and ultimately executing, a war. At the height of this conflict, Marien de vo Canar as High Nyame decided to call the Quihen Assil back to Mithraspera.
The sheer presence of such powerful beings then led to the Worldfire that destroyed a large part of the mortals and the face of the world. During this Worldfire, the Forsaken Elements were sealed, and the Ancient Rulers of the elements banished as punishment for their sacrilege, so that they can return home after 1000 generations and purge their sins. Until the time of the rediscovery of the continent by Paolo Armatio, it seems to have been lost in the dark and quite uneventful.
Notes of the Translator:
* One Quihen’Assil from each of the four Elements merged into the “Quin of Fusion” because they thought that together they could create something greater, than one alone would ever be able to
